"I have been using these for a number of years now and there is definitely something that bit special about them. They simply catch when other paddle tails don't. They are always my "go to" lure in most circumstances and there are always a couple in my lure box. They simply catch bass. My favourite colour is "Sexy Shad" and I use them in 4.8 cm rigged with a weighted wide gape hook - usually a 3/0 with a hitch hiker and weighted at about 3 gm.
I'll fish them on a straight retrieve, sink and draw or whizz them across the surface. They are made of soft and supple plastic so collapse easily and thus aid hooking. There are shallow slots in the bottom and top to aid rigging and help stop the point picking up weed.
